Fire Prevention · Evacuation Safety · Visibility · Vulnerable Population Care
Dense, aging residential areas and traditional markets are highly vulnerable to fire. Narrow alleys, neglected extinguishers, and dim evacuation signage impede emergency response and endanger vulnerable populations.
A 3-An (安心·安全·安寧: Reassurance·Safety·Peace) framework for fire safety public design. Enhanced visibility of firefighting equipment, photoluminescent evacuation guide lines, and accessibility-focused signage for vulnerable evacuees (elderly, disabled, children).
Large pictograms visible during panic, photoluminescent guide lines functional during blackouts, and fire equipment locatable within 3 seconds—design that saves lives. The project established a replicable fire safety public design template adopted as Suwon’s standard.

Improved firefighting equipment recognition in pilot areas. Reduced evacuation time in fire drills. Enhanced fire safety awareness among residents. Adopted as Suwon’s fire safety public design standard template.
